"I've always been a fan of  old carnival culture. The dichotomy between the 1920s/30s women and the artwork on their skin is beautiful," musician Seventy Jane told us. "I want to use my body as a canvas and let different people express their art on it."

"I like being a work of art."

"I'm a quiet person. Outside it doesn't seem that way. Sometimes I tend to stay in more than I like to because I get exhausted with everyone staring at me."

"'Fail again. Fail better' speaks specifically to a very traumatic experience I had earlier in the year. It's a Samuel Beckett quote from Worstward Ho: 'Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.' "

"Like anybody else, I suffer from a lot of insecurities. I have terrible body issues. There are days when I look in the mirror and say, 'Holy shit, I have a lot of tattoos.' Then I remember that I can draw strength from them."
